Translator - Mandarin

Translator (English/Mandarin)

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Translator will assist the CEO in his daily work and translate all emails, documents, and calls for the CEO as directed. Duties may be administrative and project-based and include updating the CEO on a daily basis, following up on progress from assigned projects, receiving calls and other communications on behalf of the CEO, reporting on daily activities and constant correspondence. The position requires a high level of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion in handling confidential information, and initiative and independence in supporting the CEO on a wide variety of tasks.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information from each department
  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
  • Conserve executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information and initiating telecommunications
  • Welcome the CEO’s guests and customers by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering or directing inquiries
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Translate emails, calls and documents to CEO
  • Forward CEO’s decisions to whomever, as needed

 

Position Requirements

  • Exceptional fluency in both English and Mandarin a must
  • Ability to effectively translate Mandarin to English
  • Degree or diploma with 5+ years of related experience
  • Ability to travel globally with the CEO
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of all aspects of a business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work late hours, if needed, due to project demands
